Durham Amateur Football Trust members John Phelan, Tom Kelly, Dick Longstaff and Keith Belton recently took part in the Culture Shock Project at Beamish Museum.
Culture Shock is a collaboration between Tyne and Wear Museums, the Bowes Museum, Beamish Museum and the Museum of Hartlepool that aims to record and collate a collection of 1,000 digital stories from people across the north-east inspired by museum and gallery collections.
John, Tom, Dick and Keith were inspired by the collections of Durham Amateur Football Trust to tell their stories and record their memories. You can view these oral histories here, or follow the link to the Culture Shock website for more information.
