As part of the Durham Amateur Football Trust's Bobby Hardisty exhibition at Bishop Auckland's McGuiness Gallery, the FA Amateur Cup recently returned to Bishop Auckland! As part of a film night and talk in with ex players such as Jimmy McMillan, Jack Snowdon, Derek Lewin and Ray Snowball (pictured below with the Cup) and with a crowd of around 200 visitors, the cup was on display in the Town Hall's Theatre. You can view more images of the film night and talk in here.

The exhibition at the Town Hall attracted a great many visitors and much memorabilia was on display, including the replica FA Amateur Cup, presented to Bishop Auckland AFC for winning the tournament three times in a row in the 1950's, as well as shirts, caps and medals from Hardisty and his team mates. More images from the exhibition can be viewed here. Watch out for the exhibition in its entirety at Shildon Locomotion Museum from March 20th to April 18th 2011.
